I would like to share what ETZ is for us!
The purpose of the second Educational Technology Summit was to bring together educators, technology companies, entrepreneurs, managers and the media under one roof.
Educational Technology Summit included local and international experts, interactive workshops and panel discussions.
The focus of the summit, the first of its kind in Turkey, was to explore the latest trends in this field by raising new questions and sharing best practice, in an age shaped by the widespread use of new technologies in education.
As an organization committee member of ETZ , it was an honor for me to be part of this event inspiring all stakeholders of education and technology .
This was the power of ETZ: bringing different stakeholders of this field from sector, academy, implementers, teachers, students and everyone who are interested in educational technology.
Well-known and experts in their field presenters shared the latest developments in this field and best practices with us and inspired us for further action in this field.
Maker Trend, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Game-Based Learning, E-Learning, Coding, 3-D printers, Professional Development, Teacher Trainings, Wearable Technologies, Creating Content, Future of Technology, Creativity, 21st Century Skills, Internet Publishing, Cyber Safety, Education Software and Mobile learning were just some of the trend topics of the SUMMIT.
One of the moments of this SUMMIT was the visit of Alexander Graham Bell!!!
With the sponsorship of Pearson, Hologram Technology was used to make Graham Bell alive to give a plenary talk for us. As last year, Işıl Boy, the coordinator of ETZ took a selfie with Mr. Bell. It was an amazing and unforgettable moment for all of us. Just a reminding, we welcomed Albert Einstein with the same technology last year, at 1st Educational Technology Summit.
Academicians such as Prof. Dr. Kürşat Çağıltay, Prof. Dr. Ziya Selçuk, Assoc. Prof. Steve Wheeler, Shelly Sanchez Terrel, Assoc. Prof. Tufan Adıgüzel, Assoc. Prof. Şirin Karadeniz, Assoc. Prof. İlhan Varank, Assist. Prof. Yavuz Samur, Sofia Mavridi, Umit Savlav, Teyfur Erdoğdu, Kayhan Karlı, Celale Arslan shared valuable topics related to the field.
Another important and interesting session was ELT Ladies in EdTech. Burcu Akyol, Özge Karaoğlu Ergen, Eva Büyüksimkeşyan, Sedef Koç, Beyza Yılmaz and Ayşegül Liman Kaban. This woman-dominated session had a great participation and interest by participants.
There were lots of influential sessions and people . If you want to learn more about Educational Technology Summit, you can visit : www.edtechturkey.com
EZT will be working and bringing new supports in the field via ETZ Academy.
Thanks for everybody supporting this significant event.
See you at ETZ 16..
